Gather Together in the Name of Spirit

In group dynamics its well-known that beliefs grow stronger when people gather. Dissent is discouraged and suppressed. Conformity becomes an increasing pressure. We tend to view this phenomenon as a threat, thanks to memories of extreme political and religious movements, but at a deeper level, what you and I accept as reality is always based upon an agreement we share.

Reality isnt fixed; it isnt a given. Shared beliefs and perceptions form the raw material from which reality is made.

Therefore, when people gather for spiritual growth, they make an agreement, silent or spoken, to become co-creators. To accomplish this, activity takes place at different levels: New beliefs are expressed and accepted; the mind accepts certain facts and rejects others; a feeling of shared responsibility arises; a new vocabulary is invented and adopted; bonding occurs at the emotional level; at the subtle level, spirits align.

This whole complex of activity isnt confined to spiritual movements. At this moment, you have the same capacity to be a co-creator. All you need is a core belief: God-consciousness is attainable. When this belief is set in place, a group gathered together to achieve it can begin to build a new reality. The spiritual power needed to reach God-consciousness will be increased many times over.

Find others who share your aim to reach God-consciousness and gather together. Spiritual power increases as people gather. Truth grows stronger because it is shared. Any group that communes in the name of spirit is effective.
